Rebecca's Bust Story: Body Change, Bra Truth, and What I Really Needed at Night

Rebecca's Bust Story: Body Change, Bra Truth, and What I Really Needed at Night

I’ve Always Loved My Breasts—And Still Do.

It feels important to say that out loud. Just because they’ve started to hang a little—or a lot—doesn’t mean they deserve shame. They’ve been with me through everything: changes, growth, life. And, I respect them for it.

I remember when I turned 30 and first noticed they were beginning to droop. Nothing dramatic, just a subtle shift. But I felt it. Saw it. Determined to “beat the sag,” I got into chest exercises. They helped a little, but let’s be real—when you have heavy, dense breasts, you need more than a chest press.

That’s when I realized how essential a good bra really is. Not just any bra—the right bra, in the right size. Here’s something we don’t talk about enough: most women are wearing the wrong bra size. Unless you’ve been professionally measured and fitted, chances are, your everyday bra is working against you, not for you.

And measuring isn't a one-time thing. Our bodies change. We need to stay in tune with our measurements. While developing Up All Nightie, I resisted accepting that I’d gone up a size. In my mind, I was a 36 band. No way was I a 38. But I was. And once I accepted it, the difference was undeniable—my nightie fit so much better. I learned to let go of my attachment to a number and shift my focus to the most beautiful outcome.

I’ll never forget my first proper fitting at Bra Smyth in NYC. It changed everything. The experience wasn’t about picking the prettiest bra—it was about discovering how the right fit could completely transform how I looked and felt. The way it lifted, shaped, supported—it was magic. I stood taller. I felt stronger. More confident. It was like a secret weapon. Though let’s be honestthat kind of lift doesn’t stay secret for long.

Instead of hunching forward, I was standing upright. Shoulders back. It was as if someone had pinched that imaginary penny between my shoulder blades—and with it, I found a subtle but powerful edge. No longer a crutch. An edge.

But here’s the thing: I didn’t want that feeling to end when I took my bra off at night. I craved the same sense of lift and support after hours but also wanted the relief and ease of not wearing a bra to bed. Most nighties—while soft and lovelyjust didn’t cut it. They offered zero support. My breasts felt forgotten. Ignored. And for a while, I thought they were the problem.

But they weren’t. The nightie was.

Now? I don’t have to choose.

Our Up All Nightie changed that. The hidden support slings inside might just be my favorite detail. They gently cradle the breasts—along the sides and under the root—creating a natural, beautiful lift. Not tight. Not restrictive. Just supportive. I can feel comfortable, relaxed, and still held.

It’s the perfect combination: the freedom of letting the bra go at night, with the confidence of lift.

That feeling I used to only get during the day? I can carry it into the evening, all the way to bedtime.

Our bodies deserve care, not compromise. And our breasts—no matter their shape, age, or size—deserve to feel supported, loved, and celebrated. Always.

XOXO, Rebecca
